Anthony David Gonzalez played American football for 17 years as a tight-end within the National Football League. Gonzalez is regarded as one of the best tight ends of all time. In addition to being the NFL's leader for receiving yards, and the third in total receptions, Gonzalez was one of the NFL tight end with the most receptions.
Tony Gonzalez, a former Kansas City Chiefs All-Pro and Atlanta Falcons All-Pro Tight End now works as an FOX Sports studio analyst. Since the 2017 NFL season began, Gonzalez has been an integral part in FOX NFL KICKOFF, the FOX's one-hour NFL pregame show that airs prior to FOX NFL Sunday, which airs every Sunday at 11:15 AM ET during the NFL season.
Gonzalez, who had said to retire by the end of 2013, opted on March 15th to sign a two year 14 million contract at the Falcons. Randy Moss retired in 2013 in 2013, and Gonzalez at 37 at the time, completed the year that ended his professional career in the position of being the NFL most prolific receiver of yards.
